HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Elgie F. Holley of Haines City died of complications from hip surgery Monday (Jan. 30, 2006) in Auburndale. She was 81.
Born in Raleigh, N.C., on March 20, 1924, she moved here in 1943 from North Carolina. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Haines City.
Mrs. Holley was preceded in death by her husband, A.P. Holley, and daughter, Janice Thrower. She is survived by her son, Louis F. Holley, Winter Haven; brother, Louis Jones, Burlington, N.C.; sister, Margaret Stevens, North Carolina; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Cemetery.
