Lewis Winston Lunsford

 

AUBURNDALE -- Mr. Lewis Winston Lunsford of Auburndale died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Monday (April 10, 2006) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was 86.

Born Sept. 22, 1919, in Asheville, N.C., he came here from Asheville in 1953. He was a manager for Royal Crown Cola and Pepsi Cola. He was a Woodsmen of the World, charter member of the first Sertoma Club, and a diesel mechanic for Massey Ferguson. He was Baptist.

Mr. Lunsford is survived by his wife, Edith Aleka Lunsford; sons, Lewis Lunsford, York, S.C., and Ronald James Lunsford, Kathleen; daughters, Patricia Ann Green, Winter Haven, and Deborah Marcella Wade, Tampa; brother, Herman DeHart, Asheville; sister, Ruth Helton, Henderesonville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care. Interment will be at Auburndale Memorial Park.
