WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Newton "Mac" Kelly of Winter Haven died of kidney failure Sunday (April 9, 2006) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was 73.
Born in Roan County, W.Va., on Jan. 27, 1933, he came to Winter Haven from Fort Myers 21 years ago. He was a service, sales and parts manager for a car dealership. He was a Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, Sandra F. Kelly; sons, John C. Kelly and Daniel Mac Kelly, both of Fort Myers, Jamie L. Ross, Auburndale, Stephen W. Ross, Kathleen, and J. Greg Ross, Lakeland; daughter, Suzie Carter, Fort Myers; brother, Guy Kelly, Charleston, W.Va.; sisters, Velma Thompson, Daleville, Va., and Janet Bowen, Sophia, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.
