DAVENPORT -- Mr. Larry Powell of Lake Hamilton died of kidney failure Sunday (April 2, 2006) in Davenport. He was 64.
Born June 10, 1941, in Dundee, he was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He was a shipping clerk with Waverly Growers. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He attended Lake Pierce Baptist Church.
Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his wife, Earnestine Powell. He is survived by his son, Lance Powell, Lake Wales; daughters, Tammy Lamber and Judy DuPont, both of Lake Alfred, and Laurie Powell, Lake Hamilton; sister, Sandra Harnage, Lake Wales; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Florida, 1040 Woodcock Road Suite 119, Orlando, FL 32803.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.
