HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Nelline Myers of Haines City died of cancer Friday (Sept. 15, 2006) in Haines City. She was 82.
Born in Advance, Mo., on Nov. 29, 1923, she came to Haines City 34 years ago. She was a part-time kindergarten teacher in Indiana and Alaska. She was a member of the Polk County Women's Golf Association, and past president of the Sun Aire Country Club Women's Golf Association. She received her bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri University. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Advance, Mo., and a past den mother for the Cub Scouts. She attended Haines City United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Myers is survived by her husband, Meyer Myers; sons, Christopher Myers, Brunswick, Ga., Meyer "Nick" Myers II, Aaron Lindeke Myers, both of Hillsborough, N.C.; daughters, Barbara Myers, Brunswick, Marjorie Lindeke, Hillsoborough; sisters, Wanda Jenkins, Advance, Mary Jo Murray, Providence, R.I.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
