WINTER HAVEN -- Lorae Ellen Avery of Winter Haven died of heart failure Tuesday (Sept. 12, 2006) in Auburndale. She was 85.
Born in Laurel, Miss., on Jan. 7, 1921, she came to Winter Haven from Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1949. She was a self-employed registered nurse. She held a doctorate in psychology.
Mrs. Avery is survived by her daughter, Patty Avery Searcy, Winter Haven; two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.
