George William “Bill” Swart, Jr.

Winter Haven – George William “Bill” Swart, Jr., 68 of Winter Haven, FL, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at his residence due to Pancreatic Cancer.  Born April 27, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late George and Lillian Cooney Swart, he was a resident of Winter Haven, FL since moving there in 1985 from Grand Rapids.

 Bill was the owner of Sunshine Tour and Travel in Winter Haven;  a Member of  the First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven; was a tour guide for Fantasy of Flight in Polk City: Past-President of Winter Haven Sertoma Club(2 terms); Chairman of Board-Natl. Council of Alcoholism-State of Michigan; Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the State of Michigan.

Bill is survived by: his wife of 34 years, Madelyn “Lyn” Swart of Winter Haven; two daughters, Cheryl Lyn Hellen of Tulsa, OK and Cynthia Jo Schuring of Gainesville, FL; a sister, Judith Ann Steiner of Grand Rapids, MI; and four grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends from 6:00pm till8:00pm, Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL.  A Memorial Service will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven.  Memorials may be made to Sertoma Camp Endeavor, P.O.
