Sallie Lucille Gass, 82, of Davenport, died of heart failure on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, in Davenport.

She was a native of Jackson County, Ala., who moved to the area in 1948 from Alabama.

She was a sectionizer for Donald Duck Orange Juice. She was of the Assembly of God faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Margie (Gilley) Gables and Bertha W. Mathews, both of Davenport; a son, James L. Gilley of Davenport; a brother, Alvin Dennis Cagle of Alabama; a sister, Bessie Mae Griffith of Davenport; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport. A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday at the cemetery.
