AUBURNDALE -- Mr. John H. Oven of Auburndale died Sunday (Sept. 11, 2005) at Life Care Center in Winter Haven. He was 91.

Born in Ovid, Mich., on Sept. 26, 1913, he came to Auburndale from there in 1992. He was a manager for Vaughn Seed Co. He graduated from Kalamazoo College in Michigan. He attended First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale.

Mr. Oven was preceded in death by his wife, Esther I. Oven. He is survived by his son, John H. Oven Jr., Auburndale; sister, Violet Zimmerman, Birmingham, Mich.; three granddaughters; three greatgrandsons.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at First Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ovid.
