HAINES CITY -- Mr. Floyd E. Parker of Haines City died of complications from pneumonia Thursday (Oct. 20, 2005) in Haines City. He was 92.

Born July 25, 1913, in Kendrick, Mr. Parker moved to Haines City from Miami in 1975. He worked as a welder and grocer. He was a member of Woodmen of the World. He attended North Ridge Church.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Betty Parker. He is survived by his sons, Steve Parker, Haines City, Floyd A. Parker, Lowell, N.C.; daughter, Ruah Schwamb, Arlington, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
