James K. Murphy, 71, of Lake Hamilton died on Saturday, October 1 in Davenport.

Originally from Hart County, Ky., he came to the area in 1997 from Key Largo.

He was a retired furniture and antique salesman and was a member of the Baptist faith. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #34.

He is survived by his companion, Susie C. Dorriety of Lake Hamilton
