HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Doris Smith of Haines City died of heart failure Wednesday (Nov. 30, 2005) at home. She was 70.

Born in Hazard, Ky., on April 7, 1935, she came to Haines City from Hamilton, Ohio, in 1955. She retired from Orange Co. in Lake Hamilton. She was a member of Friendly Fellowship Church in Haines City.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Tom Smith; sons, Chuck Smith, Jeffrey Lee Smith, both of Haines City; daughters, Alice Louise Smith, Haines City, Judy Gail Smith, Orlando, Peggy Sue Green, Lake Wales, Carol Ruth Yates, Haines City, Wendy Deanne Lopez, Auburndale; sisters, Joyce Mullins, Kentucky, Gwendolyn Robsinson, Tennessee, Ruth Helen Dykes, Indiana; nine grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
