LAKE ALFRED -- Mrs. Mary Oatman of Lake Alfred died of heart failure Monday (Nov. 28, 2005) in Winter Haven. She was 79.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on March 20, 1926, she came to Lake Alfred from Wisconsin, in 1973. She was a dairy farmer. She was a Baptist.

Mrs. Oatman was preceded in death by her husband, Amasa Oatman. She is survived by her son, David Wayne Oatman, Lake Alfred; brother, William Ragusa, New York; sister, Dianne Ragusa, Florida; three grandchildren; five great-grand-children.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
