HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Edith E. Johnson of Haines City died of kidney failure Sunday (Nov. 20, 2005) in Davenport. She was 82.
Born in Clio, Ala., on June 30, 1923, she came to Haines City from Georgia in 1943. She was a fruit inspector for Haines City Citrus Growers Association. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Haines City.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons, Larry Johnson, and Paul Johnson, both of Haines City, and Jerry Johnson, Davenport; daughters, Patricia Jordan, Davenport, and Peggy Eldridge, Haines City; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
