Mary Emma Pipkins

HAINES CITY -- Ms. Mary Emma Pipkins of Haines City died of heart failure Friday (Nov. 18, 2005). She was 90.

Born July 6, 1915, in Dale County, Ala., Ms. Pipkins moved to Haines City from there in 1948. She worked as a grader for Haines City Citrus Growers. She attended Eastside Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School.

Ms. Pipkins was preceded in death by her husband, Jodie Pipkins. She is survived by her son, Herschel Pipkins, Haines City; daughter, Juanita Nelson, Kissimmee; brother, George Carroll Ziglar, Samson, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eastside Baptist Church, Haines City.
