DAVENPORT -- Mrs. Florence H. Bertolotti of Davenport died of heart failure Wednesday (Nov. 9, 2005) in Bradenton. She was 87.

Born in New York on June 6, 1918, she came to Davenport from Bronx, N.Y., in 1981. She was a librarian for Fordham University in Bronx. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City.

Mrs. Bertolotti was preceded in death by husband, Eugene Bertolotti. She is survived by her sons, Robert Shanahan, Deer Park, Long Island, Barry Shanahan, Edmond, Okla.; daughter, Joan White, Greenlawn, Long Island; brother, Joseph McCarthy, Brewster, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
