WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. George Richard "Dick" Blomstrann of Winter Haven died of cancer Sunday (Nov. 6, 2005) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 63.

Born in Hinsdale, Ill., on March 13, 1942, he came to Winter Haven from Annapolis, Md., in 2003. He was a chief financial officer for Early Childhood Resources Inc. He graduated from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill. He was an Army National Guard veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven and the Winter Haven Moose Lodge 1023. He was a member of Beymer Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mr. Blomstrann was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Libbe" Blomstrann. He is survived by his sisters, Donna L. Wolff, Williamsburg, Va., and Debra L. Blomstrann, Las Vegas.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the dockside at Beymer Memorial United Methodist Church.
