DAVENPORT -- Ms. Clara Louise Watts of Haines City died of respiratory failure Thursday (July 28, 2005). She was 85.

Born in Cincinnati, Ms. Watts moved to Haines City from Erlanger, Ky., in 1953. She retired from an assistant principal of curriculum position with Shelly Boone Elementary in 1989. She graduated from Georgetown University and received her master's from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a member of Delta Kappa and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was a member of Northridge Church, Haines City.

Ms. Watts is survived by her sister, Mary Wright, Haines City.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City.
