Ellen Bowen Parrish, 85, of Davenport, died of cardiac failure on Wednesday, July 27, 2005, in Crestwood.

A native of Davenport, she was a lifelong resident of the area.

She was a homemaker and had owned and operated Sundries and Soda Shop in the 1960s. She was a member of the Little Primative Baptist Church in Davenport.

Survivors include a son, Mickey Parish of Lake Alfred; a daughter, Anna Tompkin, Crestview; two brothers, Jean Bowen of Haines City and C.W. "Buck" of Haines City; a sister Laura Myers of Orlando; 2 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport.
