AUBURNDALE -- Be honest. Live simply. Play by the rules.
Mr. Fletcher L. "Bob" McKinney dispensed such advice frequently.
More importantly, he lived by it.
"He was just an honest, straightforward guy," said his son, Fletcher McKinney Jr. of Winter Haven. "He told the truth. He was a simple, honest man that dotted his I's and crossed his T's.
"There were no gray areas. He believed in one way, and that was the right way."

He founded his own company, Advantage Insurance Agency in Auburndale, in 1992. Mr. MicKinney retired in 1998 and sold the business to his son.
