Jeanette Long Gunn, 78, of Winter Haven, died of Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was a native of Waldo, who moved to the area in 1952 from Jacksonville.

She was a florist with Wishing Well Florist and a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Winter Haven and was a lifetime honorary member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose. She was a member of the Ladies of Egypt Temple Shrine.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George W. "Wes" Gunn of Winter Haven; a son, Wes Gunn Jr. of Winter Haven; two daughters, Jenny Bowles of Winter Haven and Patsy Norris of Indianapolis; a brother, Jimmy Long of Jacksonville; two sisters, Evelyn Black of Stockbridge, Ga. and Dorothy Schillack of Philadelphia; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.
