Lewis Frank Latuch

 

HAINES CITY -- Mr. Lewis Frank Latuch of Haines City died of heart failure Friday (July 29, 2005) in Davenport. He was 79.

Born May 3, 1926, in Burlington, Vt., he moved to Haines City from Rutland, Vt., in 1991. He worked for Federal Land Bank Farm Production Credit Agency as a branch manager and as vice president and secretary for Rutland Savings Bank. He served in the Navy and Vermont National Guard and fought in World War II. He was a member of Patriot Lodge 33 F&AM in Hinesburg, Vt; Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department, the American Legion in Rutland and Moose Lodge in Winter Haven. He was a Methodist.

Mr. Latuch was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Latuch. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Latuch; son, Michael Latuch, Panama City; daughters, Judith Muller, Atlanta, Ga., Patricia Vaillancourt, Sayre, Pa., Lori Blanchard, Castleton, Vt.; stepson, Thomas Purkiss, Grand Rapids, Mich.; stepdaughter, Judith Purkiss, Owosso, Mich.; brother, Royal Latuch, Warner, N.H.; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren.
