Ed Hepner
 

WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Ed Hepner of Winter Haven died of lung disease Saturday (June 18, 2005) in Winter Haven. He was 78.

Born in Franklin, Pa., on Dec. 11, 1926, he came to Winter Haven from The Colony, Texas, in 1993. He was a retired planner and estimator for the Panama Canal Commission in the Panama Canal Zone. He served in the Army and Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a Protestant.

Mr. Hepner was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hepner. He is survived by his son, Ralph Edwin, Winter Haven; daughter Marcie Zaharee, Sterling, Mass.; four grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
