HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Bette G. McCann of Haines City died of heart failure Sunday (June 5, 2005) in Haines City. She was 85.

Born in Philadelphia on May 19, 1920, she came to Haines City from St. Petersburg 11 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mrs. McCann is survived by her daughter, Bette Jadwin, Greencove Springs; son, Robert McCann, St. Petersburg; brother, Ralph Marks, Haines City; sisters, Nellie Wright, Lumberton, N.J., Alice McBurney, Cherryhill, N.J., Rose Marks, Haines City; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
