DAVENPORT -- Mr. Harry "Pat" Patterson of Davenport died Monday (May 30, 2005) of a blood clot to the lung. He was 70.
Born on Feb. 17, 1935, in Elizabeth, W. Va., he came to Davenport from Maryland in 1996. He retired as a first sergeant in the Army and a veteran of the Korean War and Desert Storm. He was a member of the American Legion in Maryland. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Maryland. He was a Methodist.
Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Judy Patterson; mother, Dolores Patterson, Elizabeth, W. Va.; sons, Jerry Lee Patterson, Elizabeth, Zeke Patterson, Fort Lauderdale, and Chris Patterson, Bartlett Tenn.; daughters, Sherry Villers, Vienna, W. Va., and Sue Howe, Bartlett; brother, June Patterson, Masillion, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Va.
